Ian was my first born. He was beautiful, kind, loyal and empathetic - an old soul at heart. He was always bringing home friends that for one reason or another needed a safe place to sleep. So many have shared stories with me with same theme - if it weren’t for Ian THEY would not be here. I hope he is able to see the impact he left on this world. Ian didn’t truly know what he wanted in life until he became a Dad - that is when his future really began. He loved his daughter beyond measure. That future was much too short though and he left us exactly one week after his daughter turned 1 - he did not want or plan to leave her. That is the only thing I am sure of in the aftermath. I don’t know who gave him what he took or why he took it that night. That part still doesn’t make sense. I just know remembering the last thing he said to me will always make me cry. “I’ll talk to you in the morning mom - I’m going to bed to get some good sleep... love you” - Ian, I’ll ❤️ you 4ever, Mom
