Tristan was kind and loving. He scored 32 on the ACT and graduated high school at 15, aspiring to be a K9 handler in the Air Force. Despite my warnings about drugs, he fell for fake friends. After I stated he could never do anything illegal, he died from a fentanyl overdose given by adults. His love guides me, even as his death shattered me. I urge parents to discuss fentanyl’s dangers, losing my son is unimaginable pain that deepens daily.
